From 2006-2011, Ms. Parada was my PRISM (People Rising in Support of Multiculturalism) faculty leader at Loomis Chaffee. She always cultivated a warm and inclusive environment to have discussion and events that were meant to build a diverse community. As a young African American young man, I was interested in joining a group that not only brought people of similar life experiences together, but also was open to all ethnic backgrounds to have important talks. What I found at Loomis Chaffee in PRISM under Ms. Parada's leadership I deeply treasure. She wholeheartedly made me feel that my voice had value. As a result, I've sought those same community networks in both undergraduate and graduate school.
